About Our CNA Course

The CNA course at Skills Zone Training Center introduces beginners and career changers to foundational patient care skills. Through classroom learning and supervised practice, learners develop confidence in supporting daily care, communicating respectfully and recognising when to report concerns to a supervising healthcare professional. The course emphasises patient dignity, confidentiality, teamwork and working within assigned responsibilities.

What you will train to do

A nursing assistant supports nurses with the hands-on care patients need every day. On the course you practise each of these under supervision:

– Measuring and recording temperature, pulse, breathing and blood pressure
– Helping patients wash, dress and groom
– Helping patients eat and drink, and recording intake
– Moving, positioning and transferring patients safely
– Infection control and keeping patient areas clean
– Noticing changes in a patient and reporting them to the nurse
– Communicating with patients and their families
– Keeping care records accurate and up to date

Training also emphasises patient privacy, confidentiality, dignity and preparing basic care supplies as directed. Nursing assistants must work within their assigned responsibilities under appropriate supervision. Completing CNA training alone does not authorise medication administration or clinical treatments.

How the CNA course works

1. Register any day, at the centre or on WhatsApp, and choose your class day
2. Your batch opens once enough learners have enrolled, usually in the third or fourth week of the month
3. Weekly practical classes in nursing care skills and communication
4. Supervised practice sessions with individual feedback
5. AMCA exam and your certificate

Who issues the CNA certificate?

The CNA certificate is issued by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), a private US certification body headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey. AMCA’s nursing assistant credential is called the Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC).

  • Who can sit the AMCA exam: candidates aged 17 or over with a high school diploma or equivalent (or studying for one) who have completed a related training programme.
  • How long it lasts: every AMCA certification must be renewed every 2 years, with 10 continuing education credits.
  • How an employer checks it: AMCA has no public search page. Certified learners log in to their AMCA account and download their transcript as a PDF to show an employer.
  • What it is not: an AMCA certificate is not an SCFHS licence in Saudi Arabia, and it is not a US state nursing assistant registry listing.

Does a CNA certificate let you work as a nurse in Saudi Arabia?

No. Completing this CNA course and receiving an AMCA certificate does not qualify you to practise as a licensed nurse in Saudi Arabia. Nursing roles require recognised professional qualifications and the applicable SCFHS classification and registration. Eligibility for any healthcare support category must be checked separately against SCFHS requirements; it should not be assumed from the CNA certificate alone.

Where do nursing assistants work in Saudi Arabia?

Nursing assistants work in private hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and home healthcare companies. The private sector is where most non-Saudi nursing staff work: only 6.79% of private-sector nurses are Saudi, against 65.06% in Ministry of Health facilities (Human Resources for Health, July 2025, using the MOH Statistical Yearbook 2023). As of October 2026, no Nitaqat Saudization quota has been published for nursing.
